What did we do this week that you can apply in your school or job and how might you use it?

I think that I learned a lot of useful things that I can use at my job this week. I have never used eyejot before, but I found that really easy to use and embedded one into my wiki. Also, looking at different web tools was great. I'm always looking for new tools to share with my teachers, but there is never enough time to experiment with them, so this gave me the opportunity to really look at some of these tools. I found www.picfull.com and www.storybird.com to be two of my favorites. I have some ideas on how I can use these with my teachers. I know that many teachers are upset that picnik will no longer be available, so when I saw picfull I thought that this would be a great alternative, since it is so easy-to-use. Storybird is a tool that I will be sharing with the language arts, spanish, and special education teachers. I see so many opportunities for students to express themselves and write with this program.

I really liked the site www.go2web20.net because there were so many resources to view and because it was a search engine for those tools as well. What a great resource that I am able to share with my staff.

  1. Thanks for the mention of storybird and picfull. I am going to check those out.

I thought a lot about the value of the PLN this past week as I was searching through the 2.0 tools. There is no way any one person can know everything. I hope that we all continue to stay in touch and share ideas with each other.

  2. Both of the sites you mentioned look fabulous. I will absolutely have to look into them more in depth to use in the future. I agree with Jenny about hopefully staying in touch to share ideas. It is extremely nice to have a group of people that are going through the same obstacles at the same time to bounce ideas off of.
